Citrus BananaCado Green Smoothie

This smoothie is loaded with fiber! Believe it or not, avocado is crazy high in fiber! Add that to the fiber from the spinach and other ingredients, and you have over 20 grams of fiber in this 3 cup smoothie! Aside from lots of fiber, the avocado gives a smooth creamy texture that you’ll love.

A dash of sea salt can help to bring out the sweetness of the banana. Just be sure to taste it before you add any sweetener so you don’t end up with something too sweet. Because of the banana, you’ll likely only need to add a small amount of additional sweetness, if you need any more at all.

This smoothie can be enhanced with lots more natural bioavailable vitamin C by adding camu camu powder!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 large oranges
  • maple syrup or honey (to taste)
  • 1 large lemon
  • 1 1/2 tsp camu camu powder (optional)
  • pinch unrefined sea salt (optional)

Directions:
Using a citrus juicer to juice the lemon and oranges. Put the lemon/orange juice and all other ingredients into a blender, preferably a high speed blender. Blend until smooth. Serve and enjoy!
