No-Soy Sauce: A Soy Sauce Alternative

When trying to eat healthier and avoid overly processed and/or highly refined food products, it can be frustrating. Today’s recipe is one attempt to alleviate some of your irritation with these issues. I’m sharing this to help those who desire to avoid or reduce soy intake, while still being able to enjoy a common favorite condiment; soy sauce.

Some people use a product called liquid aminos as a soy sauce substitute. Unfortunately, this product isn’t much better than soy sauce itself, as it is highly processed and typically made from soy. Process of making liquid aminos hydrolyzes the amino acids  in soy which leaves the product high in free glutamic acid, which is actually what makes MSG (monosodium glutamate aka D-glutamic acid) so unhealthy and undesirable, as opposed to glutamate naturally found in foods (L-glutamic acid).

Rebel House No-Soy Sauce is far superior to typical soy sauce for so many reasons, but one of the biggest reasons is it’s nutrient content. This recipe is full of beneficial nutrients, and it’s especially high in potassium, selenium, and calcium.

So I hope you’ll try this all-natural, healthier alternative to soy sauce, and tell me how you like it in the comments below!
